Demand for active optical cables with MIPI interfaces is growing, as they enable thin and flexible optical cables for Full HD and 4K endoscopic cameras. Another major trend is the growth of disposable endoscopes, for which active optical cables are also very well suited.
What Value Do We Bring?
Our MIPI SerDes, TIA and Driver chipsets serialize signals from high-resolution Full HD and 4K image sensors and enable the replacement of up to 10 copper wires with a single extremely thin optical fiber. This enables long, super thin, light, and flexible cables between the endoscope camera and diagnostic unit. These optical cables also provide electrical isolation from the patient.
