The demand for higher resolution 4K and 8K displays and the need to store and transfer more data has driven the development of a new generation of ultra-high speed standards such as USB 3.2, USB 4.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and 2.0, and the combination of these two standards into DP Alt. These standards allow high-resolution displays, high-capacity SSD devices and docking stations to be connected to computer devices using a small Type-C connector.
What Value Do We Bring?
At these higher data rates, copper cables are often limited to about 0.5 m in length and are quite thick. Silicon Line optical technology allows for longer, thinner and lighter cables.
