Application Engineer

Position
Overview
Silicon Line is seeking an Application Engineer who will be involved
with the technical support, demonstration, and characterization of
Silicon Line's PHY-layer ICs.
As member
of the technical team you will be working on component level circuit design,
printed circuit board layout and FPGA programming.
Your responsibilities will include the design and development of test
and evaluation systems to characterize Silicon Line's various PHY-layer
ICs.
You will give customer applications support and technical support to the sales
team of
Silicon Line. You will interface with both the
Silicon Line analog design engineers and directly with customers.
Other responsibilities include: failure analysis support,
writing applications notes and design articles and providing input on
new product ideas.

5+ years
of experience in board-level electronic design

Experience with electrical engineering software, especially Altium,
PSPICE, and LabView – other software skills highly desirable

Experience with high-frequency PC board design

Working
knowledge with high-frequency measurement equipment

FPGA
programming

Excellent technical writing skills

BSEE,
MSEE, or PhD in EE

Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

Position
Overview
In your role as Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include
product definition, interfacing with customers,
analyzing specs, system and circuit level design, transfer to manufacturing, product
characterization, and contributing to datasheets.
Most of our products will be designed in advanced
CMOS technologies.

Proven track record in
design, simulation, implementation, debug, testing and production
efforts of high-speed communications circuits

Ability to manage a complex
chip development from creation to production

Proficient
with PC- and Unix-based simulation and layout tools
