SL 88001

General Description

The SL88001 is a multi-rate, high performance CMOS transimpedance amplifier (TIA) with integrated limiting amplifier (LIA), suitable for various transmission standards.
The device features a low input referred noise current of <9 pA/SQRT(Hz) at 2 pF source capacitance, which enables at least -24 dBm sensitivity at 1 Gb/s (l = 850 nm) and a BER of 10^-12.
A 900 MHz typical bandwidth allows to use the device for data rates of up to 1.25 Gbps.
To facilitate assembly in small form factor packages the SL88001 integrates the photodiode filter network on chip and features a 50 kHz low frequency cut-off without the need for any external components.
The SL81010 chip area is less than 0.7 mm˛, it operates from a single 3.3 V power supply and is available in bare die form.
